Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your driver and taken to your transportation, once there, you will be heading towards your lodge in the vicinity of Tenorio Volcano National Park, Canalete. 

The road to your lodge is mainly paved, with some gravel road onlooking the last 20 minutes of your 2 hour commute.

This region serves as home to Ocelots, Jaguars and Cougars along with Tapirs, Howler Monkeys, Toucans and Sloths, being set amidst the rainforest, the unique villas offer 180° views of volcanoes, plains and more. 

Enjoy a nice dinner in the setting of a Michelin-starred and “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” chef, locally sourced ingredients, same 180° views lounge area and pre-selected wine cellar possibilities, making a treat of your meals while in this retreat.

Beneficial plants and cooking like a Tico

Today your day starts with a marvelous view and a coffee alongside your delicious breakfast. 

During morning time, you will be joining the hotel’s staff for a walkthrough on the medicinal plant garden, here, learning about the flowers, plants, and mixtures of these alongside their  health benefits, how to brew them, and the best way to enjoy them to make sure their effects are taken advantage of in the best form possible. 

After lunch, you will be able to join the cook on how to prepare a local recipe, even including the fresh ingredients you may have seen in the gardens or even tasted before on your course last night. 

Take part in the preparations, measure ingredients, stir.. and then, enjoy!

For the night, join a Nocturnal stroll in your lodge's trails; your guide will make sure to spot the nocturnal individuals of the vicinities: frogs, snakes, bats, insects and even some birds are on the list of sightings for the night. 

Once the stroll is over, you will make it back for a nice dinner.

Rio Celeste and Off to Bagaces

Today your morning will start early as you are up for a nature encounter. 

After 1 hour, you will get to the entrance of Tenorio Volcano National Park in its Rio Celeste Zone. 

Insect repellent and sunblock are advisable, also, make sure to bring some sweets and perhaps a snack to enjoy during the hike. 

After about 40 minutes, you will reach the waterfall entrance, where nearly 300 steps mark your way down this 60 meter high beauty. 

Get back up, and continue the trail for about 1 hour more to get to the spot where magic happens and you can see the water turn blue. 

On the way, a watch platform, boiling spots in the river and a blue lagoon, along with the diverse sightings of many mammals, such as Howler Monkeys and Coaties, various birds and a good assortment of reptiles are in order for your guide to aid you spot them. 

Once back, your guide will join you back to complete the almost 4 hour hike and have some lunch after freshening up. 

After this, you will be taken for a ride of approximately 1.5 hours towards your next stop in the way: Bagaces, just before the North Pacific in one of the most peaceful areas of the Guanacaste Province. 

There, your lodge sits atop a raised peninsula formed by two meeting canyons, specifically near where the Rio Blanco's cool waters met the Rio Perdido's hot waters, and which gives the hotel its name. Top of the line architecture and design, meet the top of the line sustainable efforts to make this a real unique location and lodge. 

Take the afternoon to sooth yourselves in the Hot Springs to ease the travel away.

Own arrangement hiking in Rio Perdido: Yoga and Meditation

Today, your day is at leisure, but we encourage you to take advantage of the unique setting to stroll the property trails fit for both hikers and bikers, with a complete mountain bike course. 

Through them, you can reach the two meditation sites offered at the lodge: Mesa Norte and Las Tumbas. The two lookout points extend over perfect views and sensations, where natural beauty meets peaceful solitude to provide an unforgettable meditative experience.

All meals will be covered for you to enjoy as you match them to your activities, feel free to relax with the mud baths and the thermo mineral offerings of your lodge.

Palo Verde National Park and Samara Beach

Today your day starts after breakfast with your guide meeting you at the lobby and taking you for a 1.5 hour commute towards Palo Verde National Park, as one of the last remnants of dry deciduous forests of the Neotropics.

There you will hop on a boat that will take you through the wetland, and allow you to see egrets, herons, basilisks, crocodiles, and a huge assortment of birds and wildlife, such as roseate spoonbills. 

After about 2 hours of floating the wetland, you will get back to the meeting point, then pass for a local lunch along with your guide and then, set off to your last destination on this trip, Samara Beach. This trip takes about 4 hours. 

Enjoy an evening at your own expense and relax at the hotel’s pool, walk down the beach or explore the area.

Stand Up Paddling to Isla Chora

Today, you will be meeting your guide according to the tide to join your experience. 

After being fitted for safety, you can paddle your way towards Isla Chora, there, you will be able to snorkel in a specific spot on the Island. 

Once there you can enjoy drinks and fruit to recharge your energy and relax a while at the beach. 

Set back to the inland shore to be then returned to your hotel for the day.

Free Morning and boat towards the sunset.

Today your morning is free for you to enjoy as you see a better fit. During mid afternoon, you will be picked up for a relaxing experience on the sea. 

Hop on the boat and enjoy your glide towards the sunset as the boat will be solely for you!

Drinks will be offered, so, bring snacks of your preference to compliment them on the route. 

After sunset, you will be taken back and then to your hotel for the night.

Farewell to Costa Rica

After such a trip through unique views, amazing settings and developing your holistic view of the world and yourself, it is time to go back home.
